Jambojet Cargo has taken a major digital leap with its integration into Freightos by WebCargo, becoming the first low-cost airline in East Africa to offer real-time digital cargo booking through the platform. This move marks a significant milestone for the region’s logistics sector, especially for fast-growing trade hubs like Eldoret, Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu.

Through this partnership, freight forwarders can now access live cargo capacity, compare rates instantly, and book shipments across Jambojet’s nine key destinations, including Eldoret, Malindi, Diani, Lamu, and Zanzibar. The integration streamlines the entire cargo process—reducing manual coordination, improving shipment visibility, and making air cargo more efficient for businesses across Kenya and beyond.
Jambojet CEO Karanja Ndegwa highlighted the importance of digital transformation in Africa’s supply chain, noting that the collaboration gives logistics partners faster, smoother access to the airline’s expanding network. He added that future interlining options through WebCargo will further enhance connections between African markets and global destinations.
Freightos CEO Zvi Schreiber welcomed the partnership, emphasizing that adding Jambojet strengthens the digital cargo ecosystem in one of Africa’s most dynamic logistics regions. With more carriers joining online platforms, freight forwarders benefit from improved reliability and simplified access to cargo space when and where they need it.
Launched in 2022, Jambojet Cargo transports everything from fresh produce and pharmaceuticals to live animals and repatriation services. With over 1,000 tonnes of monthly cargo capacity and an 8-tonne aircraft in its fleet, the airline continues to scale its operations to support regional trade.
For Eldoret-based businesses and exporters, this digital upgrade means faster bookings, better rates, and improved access to East African markets, solidifying Jambojet’s role as a key driver of regional connectivity.
