Orthocraft Hospital has opened a facility at Serani Mall in Eldoret, adding a specialised orthopaedic unit to the city’s healthcare sector.
Orthocraft focuses on conditions affecting bones, joints and movement. Listed services cover sports injuries, fractures and trauma, arthritis, back and spine pain, knee and hip pain, ligament tears, joint replacement and rehabilitation.
The facility has a purpose-built operating theatre equipped for arthroscopy, trauma fixation and joint replacement procedures. Arthroscopy allows surgeons to examine and treat problems inside a joint using a small camera and instruments while viewing the procedure on a screen.
Orthocraft houses a digital X-ray unit, laboratory, pharmacy and an eight-bed inpatient ward. The X-ray unit provides digital imaging and same-day results, while the laboratory supports pre-operative assessments, infection screening and routine testing. Patients can also obtain prescribed medication and orthopaedic supplies from the in-house pharmacy.
Specialist consultations and physiotherapy are available at the hospital, allowing patients to receive assessment, treatment, postoperative care and rehabilitation within the same facility. Its clinical team includes orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, nurses and theatre staff.
Orthocraft Hospital operates as both an inpatient and outpatient facility. The hospital is located on the second floor of Serani Mall, with lift access and parking available.
The facility accepts walk-in patients and calls concerning fractures, sprains and other acute injuries. A referral is not required for consultations, although patients with previous scans or medical reports are advised to carry them. Current payment options listed on its website are cash, M-Pesa and card. SHA and private medical insurance services are coming soon.
