Eldoret will host the fourth edition of the Eldoret City Innovation Week on October 9, 2026, bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs, businesses, researchers, investors, students, government representatives and community members.
The one-day event will be held at Rupas Grounds in Eldoret City from 9am to 6pm EAT.
Organisers say the event will provide a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, showcase innovations, build partnerships and explore opportunities created by technology and entrepreneurship.
The 2026 edition will focus on technology, creativity, research, sustainable business practices and innovation, with discussions expected to cover areas including artificial intelligence, smart agriculture, manufacturing, financial technology, climate technologies, creative industries and research commercialisation.
The organisers describe the event as a meeting point for people working across different parts of the innovation ecosystem, including entrepreneurs seeking customers and partnerships, students looking for exposure, researchers pursuing commercialisation opportunities and investors interested in emerging ideas.
The event will also provide businesses with an opportunity to identify technology-based solutions that can support their operations and growth.
Under its broader vision, Eldoret City Innovation Week seeks to connect ideas with practical opportunities while highlighting innovations emerging from Eldoret, the North Rift and other parts of Kenya.
The programme is expected to encourage collaboration between the private sector, government, academia and communities as stakeholders examine how innovation can contribute to economic and social development.
The organisers have invited members of the public to attend the fourth edition and participate in the activities planned for the day.
MC Jack will feature as part of the event programme, according to promotional material released by the organisers.

The event comes at a time when Eldoret is increasingly positioning itself as a centre for technology, entrepreneurship, education, sports and business in the North Rift.
