Eldoret Boda Boda Rider Brizzy Dies in Bungoma Crash

Eldoret’s boda boda community is mourning the death of Brizzy, a popular motorcycle rider, photographer and nduthi culture figure who died in a road accident while travelling to Bungoma with a convoy of about 50 motorcycles.

The crash occurred on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026, as the riders travelled from Eldoret to Bungoma for a charity event. Six other riders were hospitalised following the accident, according to updates shared by members of the riding community.

Brizzy’s death was confirmed by Ghost Rider, a well-known nduthi culture personality recognised for wearing a Ghost Rider mask, who shared an emotional message expressing condolences to the deceased rider’s family and those injured in the crash.

“The Bungoma trip was not easy. Six have been hospitalised, and one has died,” Ghost Rider wrote.

He apologised to those affected by the accident and called for support for the injured riders and their families as they dealt with the tragedy.

“I am deeply sorry to everyone who was involved in an accident. My thoughts and prayers are with the injured and their families during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Brizzy,” he added.

Ghost Rider also shared a video showing fellow riders at the mortuary where Brizzy’s body had been taken. In the footage, medical personnel confirmed his death before his body was placed on a trolley and taken into the facility.

Wreckage highlights severity of collision

Another rider, known as Gringo Rides, who was part of the convoy heading to Bungoma, also confirmed Brizzy’s death and shared photographs from the accident scene.

The images showed several motorcycles scattered across the road, with some appearing extensively damaged. Broken motorcycle parts lay nearby, while a saloon car involved in the collision had a badly damaged front end and deployed airbags.

A crowd had gathered at the scene as riders and other members of the public assessed the aftermath of the crash.

In a subsequent update, Gringo Rides said Brizzy’s body had been taken to the mortuary as the group waited for his relatives to arrive and complete the necessary procedures.

“So Brizzy died, yes. And we took his body to the mortuary,” he said.

Gringo Rides explained that he had been communicating with Brizzy’s brother before one of the deceased rider’s uncles arrived at the mortuary to register the body.

The group later returned to the accident scene before visiting a hospital to check on a woman who had been riding on Brizzy’s motorcycle when the crash occurred.

The visit was intended to establish her condition as the riders sought information about those affected by the collision.

“Then we took him to the accident scene, and after that we also visited the hospital to check on the lady who was aboard Brizzy’s bike when the accident happened,” Gringo Rides said.

He added that he would continue updating the public as more information became available from Brizzy’s family.

“So, in case of any updates from the family, I will be announcing them here,” he said.

Boda boda community awaits family updates

Brizzy’s death has left fellow riders grieving as they await further information from his family regarding funeral arrangements.

His participation in the riding community as a photographer and nduthi culture personality had made him a familiar figure among enthusiasts in Eldoret.

The circumstances surrounding the collision, including what led to the crash and the identities of the other people involved, had not been fully established in the updates shared by the riders.

The accident also left six other riders requiring hospital treatment, while concern remained over the woman who had been travelling on Brizzy’s motorcycle.

Further details about the injured riders’ conditions and arrangements for Brizzy’s burial are expected to emerge through updates from his family and fellow riders.
