The project, which was launched by President William Ruto on January 9th, 2024, is part of a broader strategy to provide a conducive business environment for small-scale traders across the country.

With its modern design and state-of-the-art facilities, the Eldoret ultra-modern market is poised to become a flagship project for the county, projecting Eldoret town as a thriving economic hub and potentially the fifth city in Kenya.

As the project progresses, stakeholders are optimistic that it will have a positive impact on the local economy and improve the livelihoods of traders and residents alike.
