Eldoret Becomes Key Aviation Hub as Jambojet Expands Operations

Kenya’s leading low-cost airline, Jambojet, is set to boost air transportation in Eldoret, with increased flights to meet growing demand.

The airline operates approximately 28 weekly flights during the off-season and up to 35 flights during peak periods.

The carrier plans to add its 10th aircraft to the fleet, with more flights scheduled for November 2025. This expansion will see six daily flights on Fridays, Sundays, Mondays, and Saturdays.

Jambojet’s CEO, Karanja Ndegwa, stated that Eldoret remains a key market, and the airline is committed to serving the region. The airline has transported over 104,000 passengers on the Eldoret-Nairobi route and expects to surpass 200,000 passengers by the end of the year.

In addition to increased flights, Jambojet has invested in corporate social responsibility, planting over 100,000 tree seedlings annually. The airline also plans to partner with local institutions to offer training and internships in the aviation sector.

The airline’s young fleet, with an average age of six years, ensures fuel efficiency and lower maintenance costs. Jambojet’s growth trajectory is expected to continue, with the addition of two more aircraft by 2026.

The increased flights will provide more travel options for residents and tourists, cementing Eldoret’s position as a major aviation hub in Kenya.
