Through his official social media platforms, Governor Jonathan Bii called on farmers to collect fertilizer from National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) stores and designated last-mile centers across the county. He emphasized the importance of timely access to these inputs to improve crop yields and ensure a successful planting season.

“I call on our farmers to seize this opportunity and collect fertilizer from NCPB stores and last-mile centers, including Kimoning, TuiyoTich, New Progressive, Soy Mateny, Marathon, and Boratet,” he announced on his official Facebook page.
To ensure an uninterrupted supply, the governor confirmed that an additional 26 lorries carrying fertilizer had arrived in the county. He encouraged farmers to take full advantage of the subsidized fertilizer to maximize their yields.
County Government Commitment
The county government, in collaboration with key agricultural stakeholders, remains committed to supporting farmers by ensuring efficient and transparent fertilizer distribution. The availability of subsidized fertilizer allows farmers to reduce production costs while increasing their crop yields, ultimately contributing to the county’s food supply and economic growth.
With the planting season underway, agricultural experts encourage farmers to plan accordingly and apply the fertilizer efficiently to achieve the best results. Authorities also advise farmers to seek guidance from agricultural officers on best practices for fertilizer application to maximize its benefits.
