Wareng High School in Kapseret Constituency is nearing completion of a major infrastructure project upgrade that is expected to significantly improve learning conditions and expand student capacity. The new storey tuition block, now 80% complete, comprises 12 classrooms, two science laboratories, and dedicated preparation rooms.
The project was commissioned by Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Kipchumba Sudi, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen public education infrastructure within the constituency. Once complete, the facility will directly address congestion challenges that have affected classroom space and access to laboratory resources.
Lower Day School Fees Open Doors to Increased Access and Enrollment
Wareng High School operates as a day school, and recent adjustments to public day school tuition, now set at Ksh 500 is expected to drive a significant increase in enrollment. The combination of affordable fees and expanded infrastructure positions the institution to accommodate a larger student population without compromising learning standards.
The addition of 12 classrooms will reduce overcrowding and improve classroom management. Smaller, well-structured learning spaces are linked to improved academic focus and better teacher-student engagement. The inclusion of two laboratories with preparation rooms will strengthen science instruction by supporting practical sessions, safe storage of materials, and proper lesson planning.
With finishing works underway, the project represents a strategic investment in long-term academic performance. Upon completion, Wareng High School will have enhanced capacity, improved facilities, and greater readiness to serve the growing educational needs of Kapseret Constituency.
