Bii Credits Churches for Spiritual and Civic Growth

Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has praised church institutions as vital to Kenya’s unity and moral growth. In a message shared today via his social media handles, the governor emphasized the church’s role in building a peaceful and prosperous nation.

Spiritual Gathering in Tapsagoi

The remarks followed a spirited Interdenominational Sunday Service held at Elgon Estate Primary Grounds in Tapsagoi Ward. The event brought together faithful from various churches under the patronage of Hon. Farouk Kibet.

“We value our church institutions as a strong pillar in enhancing spiritual nourishment and promoting unity within our communities,” Bii posted.

He noted that the gathering reflected the county’s commitment to shared values, faith, and development. Bii also highlighted the need for continuous partnership between government and religious institutions to foster peace and social cohesion.

County’s Development Vision

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s focus on unity and inclusivity. He said that embracing spiritual guidance contributes greatly to the development of individuals and communities.

Leaders in Attendance

The service was attended by local leaders, clergy, and residents. Songs of praise, prayers, and sermons filled the atmosphere as attendees celebrated their shared beliefs and vision for the county.

Bii urged residents to remain hopeful and to walk in faith as the county continues on its path to economic and social transformation. He called on leaders to continue supporting faith-based efforts that promote harmony and resilience.
