For the past 16 months, Neon Nomadz has been creating a different kind of nightlife experience in Eldoret, one centred on music, community and movement rather than the ordinary club atmosphere.
Held once every month, the paid event brings together fans of Afrohouse, Amapiano, 3 Step and Gqom for an immersive musical experience. Organisers describe Neon Nomadz as one of Eldoret’s longest-running monthly alternative music events, with every edition attracting people searching for something different from the conventional night out.
“This isn’t just a party; it’s a movement,” is the message driving the growing platform.
While most nightlife experiences are built around the traditional club setting, Neon Nomadz is carving out its own space. The focus is on carefully curated African electronic music, creative expression and a community of people connected by a shared appreciation for alternative sounds.
Its consistent monthly run points to a growing appetite for curated entertainment experiences in Eldoret. Each gathering gives music lovers an opportunity to discover new sounds, interact with other members of the community and experience nightlife in a fresh and more intentional way.
With entry priced at KSh 500 for one person and KSh 800 for two, Neon Nomadz has remained accessible while steadily building a dedicated following. The event’s continued growth shows that Eldoret audiences are increasingly open to music and entertainment concepts that go beyond the mainstream.
After 16 months of hosting monthly editions, the organisers are now working towards a major Neon Nomadz festival. The planned festival is expected to bring the growing community together on a much larger scale while showcasing the different sounds, performers and experiences that have shaped the movement.
The next Neon Nomadz experience, themed Earth & Bass, takes place on Friday, 11 September 2026, from 6:00 PM until late.
Music curators Kangu_Her, Mix_Xila, Abby, Imran and The Band will take audiences on an energetic journey through Afrohouse, 3 Step, Amapiano and Gqom.
Entry is KSh 500 for one person or KSh 800 for two.
For Neon Nomadz, every monthly gathering is more than an event. It is another step towards building an alternative music culture and transforming a creative nightlife concept into a lasting movement in Eldoret.
